My desire for a career change gave me the motivation I needed for a “geek out timeout on AI.” So, since July, I’ve been catching up on the latest AI developments, brushing up on different AI architectures, and sharpening my prompt engineering skills.

I consciously chose to take a break from AI because I enjoy creating various projects from scratch, even if it is more time-consuming. Plus, I made a resolution a few years ago to spend less time in front of screens, mess around with music hardware, go fishing and read more books. However, I must confess that sometimes I ended up just swapping one screen for another with my Kindle.
